Building our house…with Samui’s environment in mind.

Water conservation

• water heated with solar panels
• filtered rain water used in showers, toilets, laundry & house gardens
• sand and rock landscaping to use less water

Energy conservation

• traditional Thai design (and a poolside sala) to maximise breezes
• ceiling fans to minimise use of air conditioning
• lots of natural light (and sky lights) sparing daytime electricity
• electronic marketing documents only – no paper

Organic environment

• a clever system to keep the swimming pool as chemically free as possible
• composting – straight from the kitchen and back to the earth
• organic fruit trees in the house tropical gardens
