Building our house…with Samui’s environment in mind.
Water conservation
- water heated with solar panels
- filtered rain water used in showers, toilets, laundry & house gardens
- sand and rock landscaping to use less water
Energy conservation
- traditional Thai design (and a poolside sala) to maximise breezes
- ceiling fans to minimise use of air conditioning
- lots of natural light (and sky lights) sparing daytime electricity
- electronic marketing documents only – no paper
Organic environment
- a clever system to keep the swimming pool as chemically free as possible
- composting – straight from the kitchen and back to the earth
- organic fruit trees in the house tropical gardens
